THE BLACK AND WHITE COLLECTION AT CITALIS!

VITALIS REALIZES HIS DESIGNING DREAM IN HOUSTON!

The Insite was invited to a fashion show put on by African designer Vitalis Monday evening. It was held at his store - Citalis - in the Galleria. Dozens of people poured into the upscale business to witness the unveiling of Vitalis' new black and white collection. There was also a good old fashioned auction before the show to benefit the American Heart Association. Here are some of the photos I snapped at the event and more about the designer Vitalis pictured above:

Vitalis began this natural born talent of designing 12 years ago with his African line of clothing. These designs were originally produced for young men who would never wear traditional African clothing. With its unique design elements of embroidery, contemporary cuts and shaping the clothing became popular among many young African men and those who wanted a more unique design to a great traditional garb. Vitalis could relate being a young man of African descent who wore mostly Versace and Armani suits. To say the least, he became much of the inspiration of others wearing his clothing and for 6 years he wore nothing else. He designs these particular African styles in individual custom orders as well group orders.
