DO YOU RECOGNIZE THIS MAN'S FACE?Houston police homicide investigators have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man in the 10100 block of Westview about 5:15 a.m. on Sunday (April 27).
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 170 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a black T-shirt and his face was partially covered with a bandanna. A composite sketch of the suspect is attached to this news release.
The victim, Horacio Edjardo Luna, 33, suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. R. McGalin and Officer D.W. Arnold reported:
Mr. Luna was walking on Westview when he was approached by a dark-colored sports utility vehicle. The suspect exited the vehicle from the passenger side and pointed a gun at Luna. At that time, the suspect ordered Luna to the ground, shot him once, and then fled the scene. The suspect was last seen in a 2002 black Chevrolet Tahoe, Texas license plates 30T-NMS. It is believed the vehicle was taken in a robbery earlier Sunday morning (Apr. 27).
