DO YOU WANT TO HELP A HOUSTON POLICE OFFICER REBUILD AFTER A DEVESTATING FIRE?

FUNDRAISER FOR OFFICER KEVIN WARREN


Officer Warren was on his way to work when a neighbor called him to tell him his home was on fire. When the fire was finally put out, the only clothing he had left was the police uniform he was wearing. As helpless and devastated as he felt, Officer Warren has kept a positive attitude. Officer Warren commented that though he was sad that he lost all his photographs of his grandparents and children, he felt very blessed that his children, who were at school at the time of the fire, were not hurt.

What:

Bar-B-Que Benefit for Officer Kevin Warren. Plates are $7 (per plate).

Alan Helfman, from Helfman River Oaks Chrysler Jeep, will be conducting an auction during the benefit.

When:

Friday, May 23, 2008, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Where:

Houston Police Officers’ Union building, 1602 State Street

Who:

Houston Police Department personnel

All citizens are invited

Why:

Officer Kevin Warren lost his home and all its contents in a fire February 14, 2008. Officer Warren is a single father of four school age children, two girls, 10 and 14, and two boys 15 and 17. Officer Warren has had to start over from scratch.

    Kevin Warren is an amazing person and my prayer is that the city of Houston will come out and support this worthy cause. I have personally been by his side through this horrible tragedy and have watched his determination to walk through this with his head held high inspite of all that's lost.
