20 YEARS ON KPRC TV!
Former Houston television journalist and anchor Ron Stone has died after a battle with prostate cancer, KPRC-TV reported Tuesday.
Stone turned 72 in April. He spent more than 30 years on the air in Houston.
He was a daily fixture for KPRC viewers from 1972 until he retired in 1992 and later formed a production company. Prior to that, Stone worked at KHOU-TV for 10 years.
What the hell ?
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know Ron was sick.
Ron gets to do the newcasts with Sylvan, Cheryl and Marvin in Heaven now.
My condolences to the Stone family.
My condolences to the Stone Family also. He is a legend in the news business and always treated everyone with respect and dignity. I wish current journalist would take note of the way Ron Stone and the other "legends" worked.
ReplyDeleteI'll never forget him doing the Eyes of Texas. I loved that show.
ReplyDeleteGoodbye Neighbor!
