11 YEAR OLD PACKING A GUN AND SEVERAL BAGS OF MARIJUANA!Woodlands Elementary School officials sent home a letter with students Monday afternoon, explaining that deputies arrested an 11 year old this past Friday for having marijuana and a gun in his backpack.
The signs outside the school warn it’s a drug free school zone and no guns are allowed, but deputies said that didn't stop a student from bringing both to the school on Friday. Jarrett Snipes, 11, is a fifth grader who now has a mug shot.
The Seminole County Sheriff's office said school officials found three small bags of marijuana and an unloaded gun in Snipes' back pack.
The sheriff's office said in a statement that, "A child loaned the suspect an iPod, which he used as a down payment for the gun, which he purchased from another child."
"It shouldn't be the kids who should be in trouble," said Arielle Sag who lives next door to Snipes and watched him grow up.
"I think it's the parents, because the parents should be around and should be a mentor," Sag added.
The sheriff's office said Snipes also had a window punch in his backpack. He's facing charges of possessing a concealed weapon, in addition to the gun and drug charges. The boy has no previous criminal record in Seminole County.
Snipes' mother had no comment when contacted by phone Monday night.

ReplyDeleteI thought about that - but the sheriff's department released it and he faces charges as an adult...so I decided to release it. It also helps to put a young face to the alleged disturbing behavior. The picture hits home just how young he is and how much work we as a society have to do to steer our children in the right direction!

What a little shit. He should be beaten and then put in juvy so he can listen to Slim Thug concerts and have people complain that his treatment is too harsh and he doesent realy belong in juvy and he realy is good kid.

ReplyDeleteUmmmm. Hi! I go to woodlands and his classroom was right across the hall from mine. I always knew that boy had issues. He used to bully me and my friends. There was a rumor going around school tht he slit someone's throat with a paper clip. He just isn't a nice kid.
