I don't know if this a 'sign' things to come but I have noticed campaign signs for Mayoral candidate Annise Parker all over the city. I have yet to spot in political paraphernalia for Peter Brown, Gene Locke, or the others who are vying for the city's top job. Which candidates signs have you seen and where?
She may be a "lesser-of-three-evil" choices.
ReplyDeletePeter "Plan" Brown is a Socialist "nightmare."
Gene Locke would have wasteful, Lee. P. Brown legacy boondoggle urban rail running everywhere.
Parker is clearly the least potentially damaging Liberal candidate to the taxpayer.
What happened to the candidates who want to limit the grwoth of the bureaucracy?

I'm still seeing signs from the last election.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope that all of the candidates - win or lose - remember to take down their signs.
It looks as though Annise is winning in the media, polls and now on the streets. Sounds good to me -- she is by far the best choice for Houston's top job.
ReplyDeleteShi@t, only time you hear from Anise is when she is trying to get some free press for her mayoral run.
ReplyDeleteI guess being a lesbian is not evil or in gods plan?
I cant wait to retire and get the hell out of Houston. It used to be a great place to live and raise kids.
ReplyDeleteThe ever-growing entitlment population in Houston has all but guaranteed democratic rule, thus more emtitlements.
Given the large minority-I'm-gonna-vote-democrat-even-though-they-continue-to-screw-me population, this place will never get back on track.
Give it 10 years and it will by Like LA and NY just steeped in taxes, debt, and urban decay.
As for the mayor's race, I hate to say this but it looks like Annise is going to win it.
ReplyDeleteLocke is boring and Brown is senile, and Morales is not even a factor in the race.
When Annise wins, city hall will be taken over by all the gays in this city.
This isn't San Francisco, but they will make it look that way.
Too bad that's the best Houston can do.
MEMO to those who have not yet noticed...the anti-heterosexual influence has dominated city hall for well over a decade.
ReplyDeleteSeveral of the Mayor's insiders are pushing the homosexual agenda in nearly everything they propose.
Catering to the guppy is now seemingly the prime directive in Houston politics.

I've seen several Peter Brown signs... I have seen one locke sign.
