The Insite was given the heads up last week. What was the scoop I had to sit on? That Funk legend George Clinton was going to endorse City Councilman Peter Brown for Mayor of Houston. That happened Thursday at Clinton's concert at the House of Blues. Brown went on the stage and graciously accepted the endorsement from P-Funk.
Brown will be in a tough Mayoral race against some well known candidates in Houston. Vying for the job are Annise Parker and Gene Locke.
Meanwhile, Brown and Clinton, who have been friends for a few years now, are hoping to push more people into the polls with the endorsement.
As I've told you in the past do not sleep on Peter Brown. You never know what kind of tricks he has in the bag to claim this election.
What do you think of the Clinton endorsement of Brown? The Insite would like to hear your opinion!
Unless Peter Brown is trying to draw all of the folks seeking to legalize drugs, George Clinton's endorsement is meaningless.
ReplyDeleteThis just feeds into what anyone who actually knows Peter has always said--he is crazy. George Clinton? Seriously.
ReplyDeleteI'm supporting The P funk and Gene Locke Isiah, but you know we gotta top that endorsement. Wait til Prince gets back into town! LMAO
ReplyDeleteCome on now. I love G Clinton, but this is MEANINGLESS!
ReplyDeleteNever knew those two were homies. haha
ReplyDeletethis is a complete joke
ReplyDeleteI thought it was pretty neat. My friend invited me to the concert and was shocked when I saw Mr. Brown out there. It was neat, nonetheless!
ReplyDeletePeter Brown is a chump. A sorry, politically expediant chump. He hangs out with the blacks cuz of the black population in Houston. He does not give a damn about them, he just uses them for votes cuz he is just power hungry. heaven help us is that fool is elected.
