INVESTIGATORS RULE THE FIRE AT GALLERY FURNITURE AS ARSON!

NO ONE HAS BEEN ARRESTED OR CHARGED YET!

Federal investigators along with the Houston Fire department have determined the fire at Gallery Furniture was started intentionally. They say it's arson. You may remember just last week the prominent Houston furniture company went up in flames on the north end of town. That came only months after owner Mattress Mack opened his new location in the Galleria area. However, investigators are not saying who's responsible for the blaze. Stay tuned for more details on FOX 26 news at Noon, 5pm, and 9pm!

It would come as no surprise to me if this fire turned out to be intentionally set. The surprise may be who set it...and shy. I, too, found it curious that this blaze happened not long after the store's second location [which was what -- 20 some years in the making?] opened. Just another one of those things that make ya go hmmm......

  3. Are you two Anonymouses idiots?!?! 11:35 - didn't you read the article - the fire has already been ruled as arson, so of course it won't be a surprise to you that the fire was intentionally set. As for who and "shy" it was set, if you have info, give it to the investigators, otherwise, there's nothing to make you go hmmm except the song on the radio.

And 1:51, it's arson! Of course it's suspicious!

  4. I apologize for my previous remarks - I had a bad day.

I don't believe that Mattress Mack is perfect, or above suspicion. Just because we're in a recession doesn't mean that every fire is an attempt to get insurance money. It could be, but don't pounce on the man when he's down.

Steve, I don't know you and you do not know me. I would appreciate if you refrain from referring to me as an idiot. Are you that bored and/or pathetic that you have to come on the internet and call folks out of their names to make yourself feel better? C'mon dude, step your game up and learn how to engage folks respectfully in a dialogue, or comment, or whatever your agenda is. It is not that serious Sir.

Hey Ike....What I find suspicious is how the Chronicle (chron.com) has conveniently disabled the comments section when it was announced that the Gallery Furniture fire was arson.

Heck, they didn't even do that for Obama. Can you say "Double Standard" and "Agenda"?

Now that would be a good story. Why would they afford Mattress Mac this courtesy and not everyone else?
