Garcia was terminated this week over the Trae tha Truth controversy. I'm hoping to get a comment from 97.9's management:
The allegation is that Trae's music has been banned by the Radio One station according to a lawsuit filed in the Harris County Civil Court. It also alleges on air personalities are banned from promoting Trae on or off the clock. Sources say Garcia played a Trae song while off the clock and management found out about it. So, allegedly Garcia was fired!
Note: Officials with the Box are not commenting on this issue!
