JOHNSON CONFIRMS IT WAS HIS STAFFER IN THE CAR WITH HIM THAT NIGHT!

JOHNSON'S ATTORNEY: IT'S IMPORTANT TO DEAL WITH THE CRIMINAL CASE AND NOT RUMORS!

On Friday City Councilman Jarvis Johnson confirmed there was someone else in the vehicle with him besides his wife the night he was stopped by the Houston Police Department. That person was city worker Candace Hurt according to Johnson. However, during a 2pm press conference yesterday Johnson did not indicate anything inappropriate was going as the rumor mill has suggested. Sitting proudly by the embattled politician at the question and answer session was Johnson's wife Charlene. It was a clear show of support and solidarity during this trying time. Johnson and his attorney Michael Harris insisted what happened in the vehicle before the police stop was irrelevant. Both men want to focus on the criminal case where the Councilman now faces a serious criminal charge. A charge Mr. Johnson now denies.
