HOUSTON POLICE ENDORSE PERRY OVER WHITE!

It's a story we first broke on fox 26 and today it was made official.

The Houston police officers union has endorsed governor Rick Perry in the gubernatorial race.

Political insiders say its a huge slap in the face for former Houston mayor Bill White who's also running for Governor.

Perry was in Houston this morning to accept the endorsement.

Union officials say White's decision to bring in former chief Harold Hurtt and the city's sanctuary city policy is why they decided to go with Perry.
