The Houston Police Officers' Union has endorsed Governor Rick Perry in the Gubernatorial race. Political insiders say its a huge slap in the face for former Houston Mayor Bill White who's also running for Governor.
Perry was in Houston this morning to accept the endorsement.
Union officials say White's decision to bring in former chief Harold Hurtt and the city's sanctuary city policy is why they decided to go with Perry.
Lots of people were on hand at the union for the big announcement: Michael Berry, Michael Sullivan, Rick Perry, Ray Hunt, Mark Clark, Gary Blankinship and a long list of others!
