HARRIS COUNTY JAILER ARRESTED FOR DELIVERING DRUGS TO INMATE!

On Tuesday, November 2, 2010, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs Pro Active Unit conducted a covert operation which resulted in the arrest of 51 year-old Detention Officer Henry L. Fairley. Fairley was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and Introducing Contraband into a Penal Institution.

“This office will continue to investigate any and all complaints of employee misconduct as a commitment to not only the citizens of Harris County, but to my staff and the inmates under my care,” said Sheriff Adrian Garcia. “This is the only way to ensure the trust of our citizens.”

Fairley has been employed as a detention officer at the Harris County jail since November 2008. He is assigned to the 1200 Baker Street facility. Detention Officer Fairley has been suspended with pay pending the completion of the investigation.
