| Southernites celebrate with some dance moves! |
Tom Bass park in Harris County was filled with walking shoes Saturday afternoon. Dozens of HBCU graduates showed up for the annual Southern University Houston Alumni Chapter Walkathon. The money raised will go to scholarships for students in the community. Those who took part walked, ate, and then danced. It was a good time had by all at the event that kicks off the Bayou Classic season for a lot of Southernites. If you missed the event make sure you come down next year. I'd also like to thank all of those Houstonians who donated to the Insite to help me become the top fundraiser this year at the walkathon. I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of the space I call my heart.
