A U.S. postal worker has been arrested and charged with 3 counts of possession of child pornography.
James W. Porter Jr., 57, was arrested just after he finished his route on Dec. 1. Pasadena Police investigators say Porter’s residence in on Battlebell Road in Highlands contained over 10,000 pornographic images of young girls.
Before this discovery, police found child pornography left behind at his earlier residence in the 1200 block of Blackberry in Pasadena last summer. Investigators say thousands of images could be found on computer hard drives and discs in both residences.
After he was arrested without incident, officers and US Postal Inspectors found a large quantity of undelivered mail in both of Porter’s residences and his truck.
Porter is being held on $300,000 bond - $100,000 for each charge. Anyone with any information on this case is encouraged to call the Pasadena Police Department’s Juvenile Division at 713-477-1221.
