Family members of a slain Houston man say funeral services will be held in his hometown of Dallas this Friday.
It was New Years Day when 24 year old Daveon Collier was found brutally murdered in his Houston apartment.
Close friends and a former roommate tell the Insite Collier moved into the apartment only a month ago in Coventry Park. Collier was scheduled to attend a party with friends on New Years Eve but he was a no-show.
Those close to the nightclub promoter said when they last spoke with him he was entertaining two guests at his apartment.
He'd met at least one of them the night before at a Houston area nightspot.
Collier's current roommate discovered his body in the apartment on January 1st.
The Harris County Medical Examiner says he was the victim of multiple stab wounds.
Charles Williams, who also lives in the same complex, says he's known Collier for the last eight years.
Williams says, "he (Collier) was always the center of attention and one minute he's here, then the next he's gone."
Houston detectives say they're tracking down as many leads as possible.
However, one detective tells the Insite it's been a major problem getting people in the apartment complex who have seen something to talk with investigators.
No suspect or suspects have been identified as of yet.
Now, back to those funeral services for Daveon.
The wake is being held at 8 pm Friday night at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas...Funeral services are Saturday morning at New Morning Star Baptist Church also in Dallas.
It's located at 1932 Dennison Street!

ReplyDeleteWhat I want to know is why is the friend withholding information? I mean shouldn't he be down at the police station giving them information about how this men looked?, And whoever did this to this young man needs to be thrown up under the jail. It was hate in what they did to him, it wasn't his time to go this people took him away from his loving family. Overkill, they did all that to make sure he was dead. Daveon You seemed loved by many and I hope your killers or killer is brought to justice, because you didn't deserve any of that.
ReplyDeleteI feel they need to find out who he supposedly went with to dis after hours "if that's even a true story so many lies going who knows"...also if he had so many friends that lived in these SAME apartments if he was suppose to meet friends why didnt no one go to the apartment until 5:30 a.m. the next day that makes no sense at all???? Its a lot of information i feel is being held back by DAVEONS SUPPOSE TO BE FRIENDS LIARS!!GET THE STORY STRAIGHT..I PRAY THOSE CAMERAS WORKED...
ReplyDeleteThis just hurts me so bad...i hadnt seen bubba in years.. then heard this!!!! And that was done to him to make sure he was gone from this earth. Why? I mean what caused someone to do this. I know he changed alot through out the years. He was still sweet, a very sweet person. No one deserves to die the way he did... it just hurts me so so bad. I need to know why this was done to my friend :'(. I couldnt even go to the funeral. I didnt want to see him that way. Dear God please help us and give the family answers.
ReplyDeleteThas realy messed up i went to church wit Bubba i dont think he deserved none of that he was sweet and i also looked up to him when we was at church (new morning star). i really hope someone finds this monster.his death hurt alot of people. RIP Bubba u will never be forgotten. love always Talease Forward.....Much love
