Johnson was sued this year by national radio host and author Michael Baisden.
Baisden claimed in a civil lawsuit that his work was ripped off by Johnson.
Specifically, the lawsuit alleges Johnson conspired with his business partner Gary Guidry to tour the stage-plays Men Cry in the Dark and the Maintenance Man without Baisden's permission.
Court documents indicate Baisden is the author of the two works.
Johnson was also accused of selling dvd's of the productions without Baisden's consent.
Monday a Harris County civil court jury ruled in Johnson's favor.
How? A spokesperson for Johnson says:
"Michael actually gave them permission to do the play based on his books, but later claimed the rights had expired. A jury disagreed, saying there was no copyright infringement."
Late Monday afternoon Johnson sent out this text to friends, supporters, and family members:
"We just WON!!!! We just WON our lawsuit with Michael Baisden!!!! Thank you Jesus!! When you are for us who can be against us!!"
