THE INSITE'S ON THE MOVE: KATRESHIA VERRETT GETS A NEW POWERFUL POST!

North Carolina A&T Director of Athletics Earl Hilton has announced the hiring of Katreshia Louis Verrett as the new Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance/Senior Woman Administrator.
“We are filling a key need within our athletics department,” said Hilton. “Mrs. Verrett will be a vital asset to our coaches, athletes and administrators.”

Verrett comes to N.C. A&T after five-year stint with Georgia Tech’s department of athletics. She began her career at Georgia Tech in 2006 as an administrative and compliance intern. Seven months later, Verrett was promoted to compliance coordinator.

As compliance coordinator, Verrett monitored official and unofficial recruiting visits, tracked countable athletic related hours, reviewed phone logs and handled the compliance assistant internet data entry.

In July of 2007, Verrett moved up the ranks again when she became assistant director of compliance. She handled rules interpretation and education for coaches and the more than 350 student-athletes at Georgia Tech. Additional roles included overseeing the NCAA student opportunity fund, housing, dining, student-athlete eligibility, academics and ensuring National Letter of Intent forms were done properly.

Verrett is a 2000 graduate of the University of Miami, where she was a four-year letterwinner in track and field. She received her Juris Doctorate from the Southern University Law Center (Baton Rouge, La.) in 2004.
