The anticipation in the air was electrifying as dozens of people lined up to see the first documentary of filmmakers Alex Luster and Tony Reyes.
'Stick'em Up' opened Thursday night at the River Oaks theater to a sold out crowd. There was a line that snaked along side of the movie house and anxious ticket holders waited to see the film that highlights their city.
Luster and Reyes have worked for years chronicling the little known underground movement called wheat paste art. This is the first movie to seriously explore the issue.
It was also produced by well known Houston graffiti artist Gonzo247. He couldn't make it to the premiere because he was out of the country.
Lots of people turned out for the opening night including Ruben Dominguez, Ned Hibberd, Mike Foster, Reyes, Luster, and a host of others.
Good luck on the success of this movie guys - you've worked hard and deserve it.
Stick'Em Up will play at the River Oaks theater for two more nights so get there before the limited engagement is over!
