Houston Police Officer Kevin Will was working an accident early Sunday morning on the north loop when he was hit by a driver. Prosecutors say that man was drunk and high on cocaine.
The suspect is 26 year old Johoan Rodriguez. A man investigators say was in this country illegally.
Rodriguez was charged with intoxication manslaughter.
Will is survived by his wife who is pregnant with their first child. The 38 year old also had two step children.
Officer Will worked for HPD for two years!
