IS NOW THE TIME FOR A TUITION INCREASE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON?

SOME CRITICS ARE ASKING WHY MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF REGENTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON ARE PUSHING FOR A TUITION INCREASE IN THESE TOUGH FINANCIAL TIMES. 

THE BOARD MEETS FRIDAY MORNING TO CONSIDER A TUITION HIKE FOR GRADUATE AND UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS. 

SOME STUDENTS ARE ALSO CRITICIZING THE INCREASE AFTER ALLEGATIONS THE AFRICAN AMERICAN STUDIES DEPARTMENT AT U OF H HAS SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON SEVERAL TRIPS TO GHANA, WEST AFRICA. 

TRIPS WHERE THERE ARE NOW ALLEGATIONS OF A PROFESSOR AND STUDENTS USING MARIJUANA. 

THAT INVESTIGATION INTO DRUG USE IS CURRENTLY UNDERWAY AT THE SCHOOL. 

THE BOARD MEETS TOMORROW MORNING AT 8AM.
