MAN DROWNS WHILE TRYING TO SAVE TEEN IN HARRIS COUNTY!

HCSO patrol deputies responded to the scene described below:

A 45-year-old man drowned at the San Jacinto River today while trying to save a teenager in the water. It happened at about 10 a.m. at 57 Sandy Lane in east Harris County.

The 45-year-old man went into the river after a 17-and 13-year-old began having trouble in the water. He successfully pulled the 13-year-old out but could not pull himself out or the 17-year-old.

Another male, entered the river and rescued the man and the teenager. CPR was performed on both. The 17-year-old was taken to a Houston hospital via Life Flight.

The 45 year-old male was transported to an area hospital by ambulance where he died. No other information is available at this time.
