I've had a pretty bad day. I was off from work and decided to go see the new movie Green Lantern.
It was very disappointing. Visually it looked great but it felt long and boring despite logging in just under 2 hours.
It reminds me just how DC destroyed the latest incarnation of Superman. Remember he had baby Mamma drama. There are no Baby Mammas in DC world.
The same with Green Lantern. It was a long drawn out drama that almost put me to sleep. There was a lot of talk and less action. Before I knew it the movie was over. This was after I was pulling for DC to finally get it right.
The only franchise DC seems to get right is Batman.When I finally left the theatre I thought my day would improve because I had plans to buy the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 - you know the Ipad killer.
I went to Best Buy, the Sprint Store, and Office Max all said the tablet was late even though June 17th was the release date.
The device for Samsung failed to show up on time in the Woodlands because of alleged shipping delays.
Sales reps at Best Buy claim they will have the device available over the weekend.
The dumb emoployees at Sprint didn't even know there was a new Samsung tablet out.
Office Max is another story and not worth telling.
Needless to say, this electronics geek is having a horrible weekend!

Haven't seen "Green Lantern" yet and can't get jazzed about it. Ebert says it's better than "Thor," but I'm not buying that. I agree that "Batman" seems to be the only DC character to work on the big screen...unless you count 1982's "Swamp Thing."
