HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Biggs and Officer M. Condon reported:
In the early evening hours of July 20, officers observed a male (the suspect) driving a gold Jaguar involved in an aggravated robbery four days earlier. The suspect noticed the officers and fled from an HPD marked patrol vehicle trying to initiate a traffic stop. During the pursuit, the suspect struck two parked vehicles and fled on foot in an apartment complex at the above address. While fleeing on foot from officers, the suspect pointed a pistol at Officer LeBlanc, who discharged his weapon one time, missing the suspect. The suspect managed to evade officers.
Further investigation identified Harland as the suspect in this case. The following day (July 21), he was taken into custody without incident and charged in this case.
