The battle over the wireless contract with the city of Houston is heating up....on one side AT&T the other side Sprint.
The two phone giants have been vying to get the city's $20 million dollar telecommunications contract.
The winner would provide cellular and internet service in the city.
Mayor Annise Parker is pulling for Sprint. Officials with her office say the deal with Sprint could save the city $3 million dollars.
But most city council members are pulling for AT&T saying the cell phone leader is based in Texas and has the infrastructure and employees the city needs during disasters like a hurricane.
The city could vote on a contract as soon as Wednesday.
