TWO SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECTS MAY HAVE MORE VICTIMS OUT THERE!

Sheriff Adrian Garcia and investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Sex Crimes Unit are seeking the public’s help in two separate sexual assault cases involving minors. In both cases investigators believe there may be more victims who have yet to come forward.
 

Havies

The first case involves the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl near Cypress Springs High School in northwest Harris County. The assault happened in 2008. The victim was headed home when she was sexually assaulted by two suspects. Just recently, Alonzo Havies was identified as one of the attackers through a DNA match. 

Katzenberg

Havies, 18, is currently serving prison time with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for burglary of a habitation. A mug shot of Mr. Havies is attached. The second case involves the sexual abuse of several boys and young men at the hands of Douglas Katzenberger. Katzenberger, 43, was arrested last week but has posted bond since then. He is accused of indecency with a child, sexual assault of a child, and continued sexual abuse of a child. So far five boys have come forward telling investigators they were victims of Katzenberger, a trusted family friend. Investigators believe there may be more victims.
