WHERE IS MY CHECK?

Hundreds of Houston police officers are hot today. That's because sources tell the Insite hundreds of them did not get their payroll checks as scheduled.

One officer is quoted as saying as many as 70% of the cops on the force did not receive their checks from the city.

However, a spokesperson for the department says HPD's official check day is not until tomorrow Friday July 15th.

Jodi Silva says the usual early deposit for officers who have accounts at a credit union did not happen because of the city's new uniform payroll system.

Those cops typically get their bi-monthly compensation 24 hours before those who get paper checks or have bank accounts.

Silva says she was told those delayed deposits will likely arrive Friday.
