FORCED TO PATROL IN THE COLD?

We all know how cold it was in the city of Houston Tuesday morning.

The temperatures hovered in the 30's.

Well, the Insite has learned a group of school police officers at North Forest Independent School District were allegedly forced to go without jackets in the frigid temperatures today.

Why?  Those officers, who patrol the schools in the district, are not issued jackets by the department according to my sources...So, the cops bring their own to work.

I'm told because the officers didn't have a specific patch designed by the department's administration they were told to take off their personal jackets until they affix that special patch to it.

At least one officer said he can't afford the expense of the patch and went without a jacket through the day.

The Insite is awaiting a response from the school district about this issue.

I'm told by an administrator they're investigating and will have a response by Wednesday!
