ReplyDeleteThe best advice for a broadcaster is always read, talk to people, get the facts and try and get an internship as early as possible. Getting your foot in the door of a television or radio station early is key...

ReplyDeleteK. make sure you join an organization like HABJ - Houston association of black journalist. It's very helpful to yound broadcasting students such as yourself. And get in touch with Bernadette Brown at FOX 26 or Isiah...They'll guide you well.

ReplyDeleteKendrick- Here's my two cents - get your foot in the door at any TV station - you will get practice and tape for future jobs BUT you will NOT get money. Be preapared for a few lean years but consider the pay off - a job like Isiah's. DEDICATION MY FRIEND. Best of luck - you will be amazing.
