Council member Carol Alvarado is inviting the community to get involved in an effort to stop hate crimes. This comes after the young boy was allegedly beaten by two suspects in North Harris County. The details of the meeting are below:

HATE CRIMES
WEDNESDAY, MAY 10, 2006

Houston Fire Fighters Relief & Retirement Fund Building
Greer & Lowdermilk Conference Center

I hate politicians and their staffers who steal from the public under the guise of "earned" bonuses.
ReplyDeletefocus people - that's not the issue today
ReplyDeleteGreat job Carol in recognizing this serious issue.
ReplyDeleteDo we really need to have a meeting to raise awareness of hate crimes?
ReplyDelete"Thanks for coming out to my town hall meeting. I'm Carol A. and tonight we are going to bring the subject of hate crimes into the forefront. I want you all to know that you should not harm a person either physically or mentally just because they are different than you. "
How about a meeting about ethics and stealing, etc...
