BUT IS HE REALLY WORTH $22 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!

ASTROS IS PREPARED TO GIVE HIM A BIG SACK OF MONEY!!!!!

As many of you know Roger Clemens has re-signed with the Houston Astros. But I was at an event Wednesday night where several people were asking themselves and each other if Clemens, 44 years old, was really worth the money Astros management is forking over. One person also found it offensive that Clemens and the management at the Houston baseball team would blatantly lie to the public claiming a story from the east coast that he was considering signing with the Astros again is not true. Less than 24 hours Clemens and the Astros confirm what they had just earlier refused to confirm and in some cases denied. He was signing with the Astros. Can a 44 year old save the Astros or should the $22 million be used to recruit other players to build a team rather than gambling on one man to the tune of $22 million?

I say use the money on building an aggressive team. Clemens has had his time. And now it's time for him to move on.

He's not worth it. The Astros make another stupid move keeping in line with the Texans who passed on Vince Young and Reggie Bush. Stupidity runs rampid in Houston professional sports.

I totally agree with the previous poster. And let's not forget the injury prone T-Mac! (will he ever be healthy?) Another bad investment!

Most likey Roger won't even finish the partial season without an injury. Send him out to pasture and get some new young talent. The fat lady is already singing the first verse.
