HOUSTON IGNORES THOSE WHO SAY DON'T FUND IT!!!!
After several weeks of debate the Houston city council voted to fund a second ward day labor site. The center is located on Sampson at Commerce. It's there where laborers meet with contractors to get daily work. Some say the site is a haven for undocumented workers and only promotes illegal immigration while supporters say the center prevents loitering and serves more than just illegal immigrants. The city is spending $100,000 to fund the facility. What do you think about this issue? The Insite would like to hear from you....
Well I don't buy the loitering prevention argument. Drive down Westpark around the Loop area. Plenty of people loitering there looking for work.
