OH NO! HERE COMES THAT BALLER PARKING ISSUE!!!!
You probably already know of Scott Gertner for his legendary Sky Bar in the Montrose area. But now he has a sports bar on Fountainview between Richmond and Westheimer. The Insite made a stop by the locale and learned it is apparenly the place everyone wants to be on Sunday. The line began wrapping around the building at about 6pm...The music which includes Scott and his band is great, waitresses are fast and courteous. But as with previous Insite outtings I found the parking to be a problem. I had to pay $10 for valet parking if I wanted my vehicle to be anywhere close to the establishment. But I was told by others there is a point in the day when the very scary "Baller Parking" kicks in. That means you could pay as high as $50 dollars for parking near the front of the business. Who in their right mind would pay that. But besides parking issues, the new sports bar seems to be pretty cool. Above are some of the pcitures I took of people and crowds during my afternoon at Gertner's....

It's Gertner trying to attract that white clientele he's never been quite able to get. While the blacks make him rich enough to push his fancy jaguar he'd much rather havemade that money from an upscale white crowd. But they're not into his music. Soory Scott you just have to work with what you have...
ReplyDeleteRacist huh?? Well I have met scott and I have met the management at the sports bar. And neither one of these men are racist.. The manager at the sports bar is black and so is his staff and a vast majority of his customers. So maybe u should not be so quick 2 judge people that u know nothing about.
