NOW MAY NOT BE THE TIME TO GO TO MEXICO FOR A VISIT!

THE GOVERNMENT SENDS A WARNING TO TRAVELERS!

The U.S. State Department has issued a new travel alert warning of rising violence in northern Mexico. But the alert issued yesterday stopped short of suggesting that Americans avoid traveling in the border region. The alert detailed an uptick in drug-related homicides, shootouts, kidnappings and car thefts near the border. It says the problem is particularly acute in the border cities of Tijuana and Ciudad Juarez and the northern city of Chihuahua. About 200 people have been killed so far this year in Juarez, which is a city of 1.3 million across the Rio Grande from El Paso, Texas. Mexico has suffered a wave of organized crime and drug-related violence in recent years that killed more than 2,500 people in 2007 alone.

Upswing in violence in the border towns of Mexico? Don't bother, folks. Save your gas money and just go visit Airline Dr. on any given day (and if you like to haggle for some cheap crap and used junk, go hang out on the weekends). Jensen Dr. is a good place to go if you want to go to Mexico. Actually, anyplace between the Hardy Toll Rd and downtown, from North Shepard over to 59 is a wonderfull place if you are tired of looking at Black people and White people.
