HESP UNION RECOGNIZES THOSE WHO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND IN OUR COMMUNITY!









Congratulations to the 2010 Pillar of the Community Award winners. Those who go above and beyond in their individual fields were honored last week by HESP union from the Houston Independent School District. Insite part time correspondent Mary Benton also of KPRC TV 2 was one of the honorees. The event is thrown annually by the support workers from HISD. I had the pleasure of serving as emcee for the 6th year. HESP President Wretha Thomas presented the awards to those who have fought discrimination to pioneers in our region. Some of the people attending the event at CEP school last week were: Paula Harris, Gayle Fallon, Mary Benton, and a host of others. Here are some of the pictures I snapped at the event!
