HONORING THOSE WHO PROTECT US EVERYDAY!









They spend their days on the streets protecting the public but Wednesday night was their time to be honored and promoted. Dozens of Houston police officers found themselves at the center of attention for the departments awards and promotions ceremony. And it wasn't just about officers. Several civilians were also honored by HPD for going above and beyond the call of duty. The Insite had the honor of serving as the emcee for the big event. Several familiar faces were in attendance for the awards: Acting Chief Charles McClelland, Asst. Chief Mike Dirdin, Asst. Chief Brian Lumpkin, Office Stacey Pierce, John Cannon, Deputy Director Regina Woolfolk, Asst. Chief Dorothy Edwards and the list goes on.
