THE BATTLE TO CONCEAL THAT ALLEGED POLICE BEATING VIDEO TAPE BECAUSE IT'S OUT THERE NOW!

SHOULD THE PUBLIC GET A CHANCE TO SEE THE COPS IN ACTION?

Remember that controversial video taped beating of 15 year old Chad Holley...Well we've learned a copy of the tape is now in the hands of his prominent civil attorney... And that attorney is outraged over allegations prosecutors are trying to keep the tape secret from the public....Sources tell us once Holley's attorney Ben Hall issued a subpoena for the video tape, Harris County District attorney Pat Lykos immediately filed an emergency motion to protect in federal court. Hall, who is suing on behalf on Holley, was able to get a copy of the controversial footage through the courts. But those close to the case say Lykos is attempting to block Hall from making that alleged video taped beating public. It was earlier this year when several Houston Police officers were caught by a surveillance camera beating the then 15 year old burglary suspect. Twelve officers were disciplined in the case, seven fired, and four were charged criminally. Hall and Lykos are expected in federal court Monday for an emergency hearing to determine if the tape will be kept secret from the public until after the officers' criminal trials. Sources say Lykos feels showing the tape now would prevent the officers from getting a fair criminal trial in Harris County!
