ARCHIE BELL OF THE LEGENDARY R&B GROUP FILES A LAWSUIT!

The Lawsuit filed in Houston!

Remember that oldie but goodie called 'Tighten Up' by Archie Bell and the Drells?  Well, the front man from the Houston based hit factory from the 1960's has filed a lawsuit.

Archie Bell alleges in the court filing that he and The Drells recorded a number of hit songs for Philadelphia International Records and Gamble Huff Productions.

However, Bell claims in the lawsuit he hasn't been properly paid for his string of hits.  The lawsuit indicates the defendants have not given Bell an accounting of revenues they received from his songs, and converted royalties owed to him for their own use.  


So far Philadelphia International and Gamble-Huff have not responded to the lawsuit.  The Insite will keep you updated!
