THE DROUGHT TAKES A REAL TOLL ON MEMORIAL PARK BUT SPARES THE GREENERY IN THE WOODLANDS!

After seeing the damage done to trees in Memorial Park in Houston by the drought this summer I thought for sure other areas would be hit just as hard.

A DRIVE DOWN WOODLANDS PARKWAY:

From the loop to the Katy Freeway there were brown trees and dying brush in the park that's twice the size of New York's Central Park.

But what caught me by surprise was the endurance of the green capital on the region.  The Woodlands.

As I drove through the south Montgomery County community I noticed all of the trees and most of the brush were still green and vibrant.

There was no where near the drought damage I witnessed in Memorial park.

In fact, things have become so bad the city of Houston is carving fire paths in Memorial in case there is a fire from all the dry conditions.

MEMORIAL PARK REMOVAL OF DEAD TREES AND BRUSH:

Not sure why all the greenery in The Woodlands survived by take a look at the proof captured on video!
