If Judge Fine's name doesn't ring a bell then just do a Google search.
He's the felony court judge who once ruled the death penalty was unconstitutional in 2010.
If that doesn't ring a bell erase that squeaky clean image of the judge you see here and think back about at a picture you saw in the Houston Chronicle a few years ago.
It showed the judge sitting in a chair with an arm full of tattoos.
In that article Judge Fine also freely admitted he was a recovering addict.
He was also one of the many Democrat judges who took the bench during Obama's sweep back in 2008.
However, several reliable sources say Fine may be calling it quits after one four year term on the bench.
If the rumor is true no one is making it quite clear why he would step down.
The Insite has left a message for the judge with his court staff who said he was not in the 177th today.
I also placed a call to the Harris County Democratic party and I'm awaiting a response!
