LIL WAYNE: "YOU'RE FIRED!!!!"

I'M THE CARTER: I AIN'T STAYING IN THAT PLACE!!!!!

The Insite is saddened to see this break up with Wayne and his manager. Melissa Philipian was instrumental in setting up an interview with Wayne and The Insite back in 2005. He told the Insite he was living in Houston then and wasn't in a hurry to return to New Orleans because of all the violence and hatin'. The interview with The Insite was done well before Katrina hit...anyway, here's the news accounts of the big break up...

Miami Beach rapper Lil Wayne is being sued by his former manager in a dispute that goes back to the quality of a hotel room. Melissa Philipian, president of White Tides Entertainment of Miami Beach, alleges the 23-year-old hip-hop artist is refusing to pay her at least $500,000 in commissions after firing her. According to the lawsuit, Lil Wayne told Philipian last December that he was sacking her after he became angered over the quality of a hotel room booked for him. Since then, he's refused to hand over $500,000 in back commissions, and he also owes White Tides 15 percent of his earnings over the next two years under the contract signed in June 2005, said Philipian's lawyer Richard Wolfe. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Miami Wednesday. ''We're probably looking at damages in excess of $1 million,'' said Wolfe, of Wolfe & Goldstein in Miami
