WE WANT OUR COMMUNITY CLEANED UP FROM THE TRASH!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF THIS DUMP SITE WAS IN YOUR COMMUNITY? IT'S NEXT DOOR TO HILLARY CLINTON'S NEW HOUSTON CAMPAIGN OFFICE!

The Insite ran into longtime Houston resident Juan Barras. He lives in the community he calls Magnolia just off the Houston Ship Channel in the southeastern part of town. Barras wanted the Insite to know how upset he was about the way his community looks. Just next door to the newly opened Hillary Clinton Campaign office on Broadway Street in Houston is a dumping ground of sorts. Piled up on each other are junked cars. Barras says he wants the attention of city leaders about the poor condition of his community. He says there is loud noise throughout the night, pollution, particles that fly through the air, and horrible smells. One would ask why Barras would move into an industrial area but Barras says he was there first...35 years ago before the junk yard. Barras says the site opened 4 months ago. He says while the city is focusing on the Ashby high-rise there is a junk high-rise mounting in the southeast Houston community. Barras says he's going to speak with his new Council Member James Rodriguez to try and get something done. He says the community is becoming an eyesore with the high profile dumping area for old cars. What would you do if this dump site was in your community? The Insite would love to hear from you!
