THE GATHERING AT HOTEL ICON!
The AAMA held a social / happy hour for many of its members at the Hotel Icon in downtown Houston Tuesday evening. The group was founded back in 1970 by Latino business leaders, community activists, and students concerned about school drop out rates and high crime in the East End area. The group has now broaden its goals by preparing young people to enter college, increase the number of adults attaining basic skills and reduce substance abuse behaviors. There were dozens of local faces attending Tuesday's reception including FOX 26 morning anchor Sibila Vargas and her husband Alex Pappas, Jessica Michan, Hugo Galicia, Beth Gullett, Susan Wilkinson, Chris Brown, Giovanni Garibay and a host of others!
That is not the AAMA......That is the WRWBWBWMA (We Really Wanna Be White But We're Mexican Americans)
ReplyDeleteMaybe it was a cause for celebration that the Mexican cop killers Mexico defense lawyers managed him to get a life sentence instead of the death penalty.
ReplyDeleteMexicans have advanced as far as they can already since you cannot goto a grocery store without some knowledge of the spanish language to read the labels on most AMERICAN food items.
In order for them to be "Mexican American" they'd have to be born in
ReplyDeleteMexico and moved here. If you are born in the USA, you are an
American.
