HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET ONE OF THESE FREE?
City of Houston Parks director Joe Turner was pretty excited about a gift the city of Houston has just received. It's a $10,000 solar powered utility vehicle. The golf cart like machine is run totally on solar energy using panels. Workers at the city's park department say it runs more than 8 hours off of one charge. The vehicle was donated by BP last month after an exhibition show. Turner says his department was asked by BP officials if they wanted the vehicle. He said he didn't hesitate. In fact, Turner says he sent staffers to pick it up on a Sunday night. The SUV is currently being used at Memroial park for a long list of jobs without burning gas!
