THE CHAUMETTE BOYS ARE THE BIG WINNERS!

WAY TO GO RAPHAEL AND ALEXANDRE!

On Friday, April 24th, when State Bar of Texas president Harper Estes handed out awards in the Bar’s second YouTube video contest, two of the winners looked familiar. Sugar Land Brothers Raphael (11) and Alexandre (8) Chaumette who were among the winners in the Bar’s first-ever YouTube video contest in 2008, were back to reclaim the first place title in the under-18 category. Their first prize winnings include a $2500 scholarship to the school of their choice and a trophy. The challenge was to create and film a video discussing how value systems and ideals unite a community. The Chaumette brothers created a video, “Ideals: Every Citizen Counts” and beat out many students in middle and high school. The boys are the sons of David, a partner at Delarosa & Chaumette law firm, and Jacquie, Sugar Land City Councilwoman. Both attend Commonwealth Elementary in their hometown of Sugar Land, Texas. Raphael and Alexandre were honored at a State Bar dinner in Fort Worth, Texas. There were over 150 attorneys in attendance. Below is the link to the award winning video.
