This statement from Matthew Knowles comes after a bad rendition of Beyonce' singing If I Were a Boy. It has been floating around the internet. If you can find it take a listen and try to figure out if it's a fake or Beyonce' had a bad day. Here's the statement sent to TMZ:
Beyonce's dad is on the warpath against the people attacking his daughter for the supposed "board mix" audio of B singing at "The Today Show" -- claiming all doubters of her ability are "idiots."
In a fiery statement to TMZ, Mathew Knowles, who's also Bey's manager, says his daughter was set up. It's one of the best statements we've ever gotten.
"If no one took the time to look at the biggest Inauguration in the history of America then shame on them.
If no one took the time to listen to Beyonce sing 'America the Beautiful' and 'At Last' at the Neighborhood Ball for the first dance of President Obama and the First Lady, and they question Beyonce's vocal ability, they've gotta be an idiot.
At 12 years into her career, the last thing someone should be questioning is her vocal ability.
That would be like questioning if Kobe Bryant could shoot a jump shot. The vocals were obviously altered."
This is not NEWSworthy.
ReplyDeleteI AGREE
ReplyDeleteOh this is B.S. This performance was MONTHS ago, and now a altered version of the audio is suddenly released, DAYS before her movie opens? And it is released no doubt to one of the most controversial voices in the media...Howard Stern? Then Matthew releases a statement? Pfffttt.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this was all a coincidence, just like the timing of Beyonce's Sports Illustrated cover just as Jennifer Hudson's Time Magazine cover is released. Just as the day Letoya Luckett's album is released, OUT OF THE BLUE Beyonce's pre-ordering for her album suddenly is scheduled for the same day and highly marketed. Yeah right.
And while I'm at it, SHAME on them for making everyone go to tanning salons except for Beyonce...hmmmm. Shame on them for making everyone change their names, except for 'BEYONCE' AND 'SOLANGE' because everyone else's names were "too ethnic"....hmmmm. And though I believe Beyonce has some talent, she is TERRIBLY overrated (particularly her song writing) and don't seem to have an original bone in her body. And FURTHERMORE, I STILL SAY, BEYONCE COULD NOT SURVIVE AMERICAN IDOL, AND BY NO MEANS WOULD HER CAREER BE WHERE IT IS TODAY IF SHE WERE DARK SKINNED. That light skin, blonde hair, and big butt, got her where she is today, despite what anyone says.
Jill Scott, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, and Tamia, you girls keep on singing. You ladies don't sound like EVERY note is forced.
The Beyonce' machine has managed to fool millions and I actually applaud it for doing a great job.
*yawn* I'm tired of Papa Knowles (and even Mama Knowles) stepping up to fight "every" public battle that Bey and Solange are faced with. Both are adults so let them fight their own battle sometime.
ReplyDeleteOops, I forgot, Solange tried that (on air) and it didn't go over so well...
This was a waste of space and time.
ReplyDeletehoward stern go figure...
ReplyDeleteI do think that Beyonce is very, very talented.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I also agree that she would not be as popular if she were NOT light skin with blondish highlights.
