MURDER AT THE HOT SHOT BAR AND BILLIARDS!

WHILE WE SLEPT SOMEONE'S LIFE ENDED AFTER AN ARGUMENT!

From the Harris County Sheriff's Office: On Sunday Morning, 05.03.2009, at approximately 1245 A.M., deputies with the Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting in the parking lot of the Hot Shot Bar & Billiards, located at 14630 Bellaire Blvd. When deputies arrived, they discovered Jimmy Ruiz had been shot and was lying in the parking lot, in front of the bar. Witnesses advised Ruiz argued with another man, later identified as Fausto "Paco" Flores, inside the bar. Ruiz and Flores argued over a woman and both men were ejected from the bar by employees. Flores produced a pistol, that he had hidden in his waistband, and shot Ruiz multiple times. A bystander tried to intervene and was shot in the leg. Flores fled the scene on foot.

Ruiz was transported to Hermann Hospital by ambulance, where he later died. The bystander was transported to an area hospital by private auto, where he was treated and released. Flores was located later in the morning, at an apartment complex on Rio Bonito. Flores was taken into custody by deputies and the pistol was recovered.

Murder charges are pending.
