WE'RE MOVING CLOSER TO THE END OF THE TESTIMONY IN THE VIDEO TAPED BEATING CASE!The teenager who says he was beaten by Houston police officers testified before the Harris County grand jury Monday.
His testimony has been expected for months now.
15-year-old Chad Holley answered questions for the grand jury for about an hour. He left the closed door meeting with his mother Joyce Holley and his attorney Wilvin Carter.
"They're tired. They feel like victims. They just really want it behind them" says Carter.
The grand jury has now listened to all the evidence and is deciding if the eight Houston police officers should be indicted.
Those officers were allegedly caught on tape beating up that 15-year-old who was a burglary suspect. The whole thing was captured by a storage company's surveillance camera.
The tape that allegedly shows the 15-year-old handcuffed and being beaten by Houston police officers hasn't been made public. The video also allegedly shows officers high-fiving one another afterward.
After the tape surfaced eight Houston police officers were placed on payed administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The grand jury is expected to announce it's decision Wednesday.

ReplyDeleteI feel really bad for these officers. Ok, media always fails to tell us what happened before the beating. The beating should been the best thing that happen to the boy. I know a beating would of taught me a lesson. This system is so screwed up. Only in America prisioners go to bed with a full stomach. Only in America were prisioners live better than the poor. In other countries, the worse place you could be is in prision. I have a 15 year old son. If my son burglarized a place, I would not be opposed to getting a HPD butt whop. You want steal, then pay the price. Like I said, jail time or a criminal record doesn't mean anything anymore. Put them in a cell with 50 people, no showers, no blankets, no beds and throw a little roaches, I bet they will think about twice about going to prision.
