There were some tense moments on Westheimer Sunday afternoon. Dozens of Southern University Houston Alumni members came together for the first big watch party at the FOX and The Hound. The Jaguars took on Delaware State in Florida...The first three quarters of the game appeared to be certain defeat for the Baton Rouge based team on (ESPN) national tv. But by the end of the 4th those Jags got their second wind and pulled off a great victory over Delaware. Several members of the Houston alumni chapter were on the edge of their seats until those touchdowns came in. Then it was that old Louisiana style resilience that kicked into gear and the cheering began. Lots of people attended the event which included the unveiling of the new Southern University Jaguar license plate for Texas motorists. Some in attendance: Shawn Armstrong, Millette Clayton Scott, Carl Daniel, Glenn Scott, Kevin Taylor Jarrell, DJ Nick T, and DJ Cruz Music just to name a few!
