Congratulations to Kyle Washington for a very successful year...It was in 2009 when Washington, a former baseball player, began mentoring to young people in the community through athletics and leadership. He launched the Tim Hill Sports Academy named after his grandfather. Washington in his first 12 months has successfully reached out to dozens of kids in the community. His program has been praised for providing young people with the athletic and leadership skills they need to survive. Tuesday Washington along with his staff thanked the volunteers and young people who made it possible. The Insite served as emcee at the event held at the American Legion Post on West Clay Road. Washington was surprised at the end of the program with a gift from his family. Some of the people attending were: Washington, Brandon Dudley, Kenneth Allen, Dawn, Simonsen, Puree Griffin, Peter Leal, Mike Wailes, Marwine Kline, Jaleen Johnson, Dwight Colvin and a host of others.
